I didn't have enough money and I couldn't figure out why! I was doing great work and received a national award. That's why I started learning how to attract more money. In 2005 I received the Modern Bride Trendsetter Award along with luminaries like Wolfgang Puck and Vera Wang. I thought I had finally made it. I thought I could relax and the business and big bucks would pour in. Not! I ended up performing 80 wedding ceremonies that year but I was exhausted. More than that I new I still couldn't afford to have the child I so sincerely desired. I knew that I never wanted to perform 80 ceremonies in one year again but I needed more money.
I thought about returning to my work as an attorney but I found that so unfulfilling that I knew I had to learn how to make more money while doing work I love. I set out to find a way to make more money while pursuing my passion. I read every book and took every marketing seminar I could find. I learned a lot of great techniques. However, it wasn't the marketing techniques that made the biggest impact on my bank account. It has been learning to question the ways I have been conditioned to think about money that led to the transformation of my practice and my life.
Today, I balance my professional life by performing upscale, personalized ceremonies [http://www.OurElegantCeremony.com] and sharing what I have learned about money through group and individual coaching so that other people can make more money and live a balanced, harmonious life.
There is a spirit of joy in my coaching. The goal is to continue to share our good with the world and honor our selves and our clients as we perform our work in the world. The foundation of our work is that each of us matters far more than money or any material thing. We are served to consciously celebrate the exchange of money, tools and value. This exchange is a vital part of life. Our work together teaches you to enrich yourself and your sales process so that money is nothing but a thing.
A student muses:
"Imagine if it was one of our 'jobs' to keep money and abundance flowing each and every day.... If spending money or exchanging value was not fraught with contracted bodies.... If part of being [an entrepreneur] is celebrating money, tools, and the exchange of value!!!"

Kim Kirkley's bio:
In her early days as an attorney, Kim Kirkley wore the shell of a
cynic. Through her volunteer work with social justice organizations, in
the U.S., Africa and South America, Kim began to realize that she
longed to play a part in something more meaningful and spiritual. When
she realized that her happiness depended on finding a new vocation, Kim
shed her shell, moved into her heart and waited for the right
opportunity. Today, she is a joyful, professional Celebrant and
has received the “Modern Bride Trendsetter” award (The bridal industry's "Oscar" award)!
Her entrepreneurial
work as a Celebrant led her to a new understanding of the concept of
money. She has grown from hating money and being too shy to ask for a
fee to being confident with the sales process and the concept of money.
In 2009 she created and taught the course "Money Matters" for the Celebrant Foundation -- www.CelebrantInstitute.org. Her students became her raving fans and encouraged her to offer this type of course to everyone. The new "Money is Just a Tool" course and her coaching build on the "Money Matters" course and the content has been expanded to speak to all entrepreneurial service professionals.
